You may ask either for a Bhoj or individual dishe. Bhoj combines some typical Bengali dishes starting with Shukto and moong dal, to mutton or hilsa fish and ending with chutney, rajbhog and a misti pan.
The noteworthy items are the kakra r bora, Mocha r chop & Rui Mach er Patisapta in the starter, In the main course their Bekti Paturi is really good in quality. The Gondoraj Bekti is basically chunks of fish in a Gondhoraj lemon flavoured gravy item to be eaten with plain rice- good , but could have been better! Their Chingri r Bati Chocchori is a surprise since the prawns are steamed & then put into the spicy gravy & not fried!

I have been to this place many times. Each time I am happy with the service. Though I must say that the prices are a little high than the quality of the food. You can find a wide variety of fishes in here. A retreat for fish lovers. They make great Shukto, Kosha Mangsho, Doi Murgi,Bhetki Paturi.
The decor is very nice, it will give you a feeling as if you have entered a traditional Bengali house. It is here I have first tasted ‘Nolen gurer Ice Cream’ and it has became my favourite dessert. They provide special menus on Durga Puja Season and Nabobarsha [Bengali new year] and Hilsa festivals.

Everything about this restaurant is Bengali delicacies. when I entered the place, it was just like a north Kolkattan Home with little rooms. The tables, ceiling fans, wall paint are just like of 90’s.
You’ll find dishes like Daab Chingri, Stuffed Vetki, Barishali Ilish and Daaber Payesh etc. Both the quality of fish served and the fish preparations were excellent. You will be served in classic pottery. And the service is prompt and the waiters are courteous.
Panch Phoron [ Kasba ]

This is a new place in town. Its a little food joint serving quite good Bengali dishes. I dropped in here on Poila Boishak and savored most of the menu. The menu was limited although you can choose many.
They offer both veg and non veg.All of them are typical Bengali delicacies. The Bhetki Paturi was very good, soft and nicely flavored, Pulao has a nice aroma. The Kosha Mangsho, Special Chicken are favorites for Bengalis and those were cooked tender and tasty. The Chitol Peti was cooked in a rich and spicy gravy which tasted good but the fish did’nt seem much fresh.
The main prob with this place is that its too small, it can accommodate utmost 15 people at a time. Since its new, I didn’t find much of crowd. The decor is simple yet nice.Mostly they do home deliveries, which is a nice option if you stay near by.
