Shivaji Military Hotel opened up in Bangalore in the year 1908. This hundred year old military hotel is well known for its non-vegetarian food. It’s meaty biryanis are served in oat-shaped bowl called donnes or palm leaf bowls, and plantain leaves are spread to eat on.
They’re best known for their Chicken and Mutton Biryani, Chicken Legs and Chicken chops. The Biryani is served with Pachadi and a spicy gravy, not to forget an accompanying cup of piping hot pepper Rasam.
They do not have any other branch. They provide the same taste and quality, throughout the seasons, everyday. Afternoons here are usually over crowded, swamped will people waiting to get their tables. You may miss out a few dishes if you arrive a little later as the place gets congested on all days of the week. Though sitting area is not very clean.
